Home Flooring Styles :: Wood Floor Polish Wood Floor Polish:Getting the Right Wood Floor PolishThere are many products on the market that are called wood floor polish. Probably as many as there are floors to use them on! They are usually in two categories acrylic, and actual wood floor wax (that too has many names). The laminate floors today are generally wax free, but do require maintenance and there are cleaner/shine products that do both at once. There are cleaners, and polish separately too but a good laminate floor usually will not need anything but cleaning for quite some time. Wood Floor Polish Wood floors can come refinished so they are no wax, or they can be unfinished so once the floor is in it will take several layers of wax and a polisher to get it to shine the way you want it to. That is an old fashioned shine! However with the appearance of the acrylic floor polish you may want to consider one of them before trying regular wax wood floor polish. Remember too that wax floor polish will have to be stripped about twice a year on a frequently used floor. Check Acrylics The acrylic wood floor polish is nice on any floor, they are good for a quick touch up on a floor that is a few years old and needs just a touch up to put it right again. I love a shiny floor in any room in the house, it makes the home look so clean with shiny floors it is well worth the time and effort to keep them up. But if you really want to go all out you can buy a house size buffer and use the wax floor polish. This is good if you have the time, because it takes time to put the wax floor polish on the floor then buff it. This can take several applications to get the results you desire but it is worth the work. My suggestions to you are check around, unless you already have a favorite wood floor polish in mind , or use what the manufacturer suggests. Some say none but I think a little never hurts! So your floor polish is totally up to you if you want to use them. Get your own or follow the manufacturers’ suggestions. The only thing here is to make sure that using a certain floor polish that the company suggests is not needed for the warranty. Some of the warranties are like this so be careful what you do decide in terms of wood floor polish. All Articles for Home Flooring Styles
